#2 - When is the best time to visit?
<back>  <next>

Well, let’s see…. Some years its 60* in January, and 10* in April. You figure it out! That’s Montana! If you don’t like the weather this hour, wait for the next and you’ll be happy! Summer is almost guaranteed for July and August – warm temps (80’s or so by day; 50’s or so by night – never pesty hot, and always low humidity).

April-May-June bring delicate promises in the forms of warm sunshine, wildflowers, greening grass, and snow-capped peaks. Not to mention baby moose. July-August are predictably warm and dry (with afternoon showers if any), and absolutely gorgeous. September-October offers autumnal golden sun, golden aspen, golden light in general – wonderfully restful. Winter? Another favorite: snow-packed mountains, wild winds (not always chilly – heard of our Chinooks?!) and a general sense of anything-can-happen.

You choose! We have lots of extra accessories for you as you heat up (sun hats and caps) or cool down (jackets and boots). Enjoy!
