A hand-hewn century-old log cabin at the top of the world! Upstairs, a beamed ceiling open room filled with a wood stove, two comfy (queen-sized sleeper) sofas, dining table, and a stocked kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, tea and coffee makers. A DVD/ video player, a radio/cd /tape player, and lots of reading materials and art supplies are ready and waiting for your use.
Downstairs, a reading area, two bedrooms (a double bed & bunk beds), and plenty of bedding and extra linens. The bathroom boasts a claw-footed tub (and shower), a washer and dryer. You’ll have lots of towels and extra supplies. We’ve saved the best for last: the large covered deck of this cabin: from your seated mountain perch you won't see a sign of any other human habitation! Only the sage and pine-covered hillsides, the rocky outcroppings, and the range leading seemingly down to your view of Emigrant Peak, setting majestically at well over 10,000’. Enjoy!
The Home on the Range Cabin rents for $175 per night; or $1050 per week |
